Xavier!

This is my nephew, and the most coolest little man in the world.
Xavier Kai Renfrey was born in Port Lincoln on the 21st of February, 2007. I got to meet him the very next day, on his sister Amali's 2nd birthday.

His father is my brother Daniel, and his mother's name is Tessa.

He was Christened at the Port Lincoln Anglican Church, and I am his God Mother :-D

He like the movie Wall-E!

When Amali was a bit over one, I said to Tessa that I wanted a nephew. A few weeks later she was pregnant, and I knew it was the nephew I'd asked for, and it was! So he's very special.

Starting Over - ME!

I thought we could start over, so I deleted all my previous posts. Maybe you'll learn something about me.

Maybe I'll tell you about me!

Hi, my name is Lesley. It's a pleasure you meet you.

:-)

I was born Lesley Toni Hancock in Darwin, NT. I've lived in South Australia for around 19 years, I think that means I'm officially a South Australian. I talk like a South Aussie. I don't eat like one though. The thought of a pie floater...I hate pea soup.

So, I lived in Darwin briefly, then we moved to Burra. After Burra, we moved to Adelaide, and multiple places in Adelaide. When I was nearly four we moved to Ungarra, and then when I was five we moved to Tumby Bay. I lived in Tumby Bay until I was 17, then I briefly moved to Port Lincoln, before returning to Tumby Bay. Then I went to Adelaide, followed by Nhill, and now am in Port Lincoln again.

I have three older half-siblings; Julian, Leona, and Daniel. I am the youngest by five and a half years. I have a nephew from Julian, called Alex (12ish?), and a niece and nephew from Daniel; Amali (5) and Xavier (3).

I have 2 cats; Bob and Izzie. Bob lives with my mum though, and he hates me because I leave him all the time (which tells me he loves me and misses me when I go away). I also have a turtle with Rosalie, called Harry Dimples Consuela Bananahammock, and a fish called Two Tone.

I have a teddy bear collection because I love teddy bears. A lot. All of my teddies/dolls (except my china dolls) have names because if they're gonna live in my room, I'd like to know who I'm living with! There's Suzie, and Mickey, Steven, Sam, Maggie, Big Bird, Little Ted, Henry, Harry...okay I won't go through them all...

I believe in God, and I spose you could say I believe in the stuff that's written in the Nicene Creed, making me...a Christian? I started going to church when I was probably about four. It was kind of a home-church type thing in the CWA hall called the Christian Centre. Then, not long after, we started going to the AOG church. In between the age of 6 and 12 I went back and forth to the AOG and the Uniting Church, but I was mostly at the AOG. I was baptised in the AOG church with my grandparents when I was 7. I don't attend AOG anymore. I'm not really into that. I'm more Uniting now, but denominations suck anyway.

I believe what I believe, but I also am willing to accept that I could be wrong. After all, it is only faith. Other people have different faiths too, and I could be wrong. So I don't claim my faith is 100% fact or truth because I'm not 100% sure. I still believe it though. The only things I believe 100% are cold hard facts, like maths. 1 + 1 = 2. There is no way around that (please don't tell me there is, I want something to be that simple and not based on faith!!).

I love animals, music, Star Wars, Tina Fey, hugs, and most importantly, friends. The greatest thing God ever created was, in my opinion, a sense of humour. Following closely behind that, is chocolate. More specifically, Cadbury chocolate. I love Cadbury.

I love period pieces. That's probably my escapism. Books, movies, TV shows. They're awesome because I love history. Not the school subject, but just looking up things in history in my own time. The fashions, the buildings, the customs...everything! Probably the Elizabethan era (or a little earlier) up until the 1940s interest me the most.

I use jokes to defuse tense situations, and that quite often isn't a good thing to do. It's not that I don't have a heart, or that I don't care, I just don't like seeing people upset and I try make them laugh, but it's quite often not the right time. I'm learning to hold my inappropriate comments in though. If I ever do it to you though...please know it's just coz I care. I just have a weird way of showing it.

What else can I tell you about me?

- I have blue eyes (which sometimes turn a bit green).
- I have dimples (Rosalie keeps informing me of this).
- I love Sims.
- I don't like onion.
- I am single, and have very little interest in changing that.
- I love police.
- I like suits and uniforms.
- I love hugs.

And that is me. :-)
